Chicken: Using rotisserie chicken for this tasty chicken salad, saves a lot of meal prep time.

You can also use cooked chicken breasts, chicken tenders, or chicken tenderloins for this recipe.

Simply boil, grill, or bake the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit, let it come to room temperature, and shred.

Shredded Cheese: Freshly shredded cheese is always better tasting!

For convenience store-bought packaged shredded cheese can also be used.

Cheddar cheese and Colby jack cheese are the two most popular cheeses for this yummy chicken salad recipe.

Chopped Bacon: For this recipe, you can use fresh bacon cooked to your liking or you can use store-bought bacon bits.

Celery: Rinsed, patted dry, and finely chopped.

Onion: I prefer to use thinly sliced green onions which are mild and add a nice pop of color.

Fresh Parsley: Completely optional.

Ranch Salad Dressing: A few tablespoons of your favorite bottled ranch salad dressing adds zest to chicken salad.
