Ingredient Notes
- Mayonnaise – Mayonnaise is the base for the sauce.
- Whole Grain Mustard – Whole Grain Mustard has a thick, coarse texture and is often used in vinaigrettes, a salad dressing, or as a sandwich spread.
- Spicy Brown Mustard – Spicy mustard is made with brown mustard seeds which are naturally hotter than regular mustard seeds.
- Hot Horseradish – Horseradish is a pungent grated condiment made from the root of the horseradish plant. Horseradish has a lot of health benefits!
- Dark Brown Sugar – Brown sugar balances the spicy flavors of the sauce.
- Lemon Juice – Lemon juice adds a refreshing citrus zest to this sauce or to any remoulade sauce.
- Cajun Seasoning – Is a spicy blend of seasonings that is used in many cajun dishes. I like to use Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning.
- Garlic Powder – Garlic powder tastes great in almost every type of hearty sauce!
- Cayenne Pepper – Mild ground cayenne chili peppers adds a little bit of medium heat to the sauce.
- Red Pepper Flakes – A dash of red pepper will give color to the sauce and step up the heat. (Completely optional)
