Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Tequila Blanco and Tequila Reposado?

The main difference between the two tequilas is that one is an aged tequila and the other is not.

Tequila Blanco is bottled right after distillation. Tequila Reposado is aged either in a steel or oak barrel.

Here is a great breakdown for you – Reposado vs Anejo vs Blanco: Which Is The Best?

A lot of Hennessy Margarita recipes call for Reposado due to its oaky, earthy undertones.

I prefer to use Blanco which has notes of pepper and citrus for these recipes because I taste more of the Hennessy. Either one is perfectly fine to use!

What exactly is triple sec?

Triple sec is an orange-flavoured liqueur that originated in France. It usually contains 20–40% alcohol by volume.

Triple sec is rarely consumed neat, but is used in preparing many mixed drinks such as margaritas, cosmopolitans, sidecars, Long Island iced teas, and mai tais. Wikipedia

Can you use frozen strawberries to make a margarita?

Yes, you can use frozen strawberries to make margaritas!

Substitute ice cubes with frozen strawberries.

If the mix seems a little thick after blending, add ice cubes and blend until you get the consistency you want.
