Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly spray baking dish.

Add egg and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes or until fluffy.
With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Use a rubble spatula and scrape the sides of the bowl to incorporate all the ingredients.
Mix until throughly combined and soft dough forms.
Use a rubber spatula or wooden spoon and gentle fold in the chocolate chips into the dough.
Using a large spoon, place large scoopfuls of cookie dough in the prepared baking dish. Use all of the cookie dough. Do not worry about forming perfect cookie dough balls, it spreads out during baking.
Brownie Batter – In a separate bowl, combine the brownie mix, water, oil, and egg with a whisk until well combined.
Pour the brownie batter over the cookie dough and spread it around evenly.
Cover pan with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes. Use oven mitts and remove foil and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes. (see Top Tips)
